I think I have a record here for the smallest swarm. I could have dumped them in my coffee cup  I held a frame from last weeks extraction up to the swarm and out walked the queen onto the frame. She seems a little big to be a virgin queen. The last picture shows her and the other bees sticking their head in the holes feeding. I guess they were hungry. This was in a subdivision and I am wondering if this wasn't a much bigger swarm that may have gotten sprayed and this queen and a few bees got away? Anyway, I made a nuc with three frames of capped brood (with the nurse bees on them) a frame of honey and a pulled empty comb frame. Cheked her this morning and she was walking around on a frame looking in empty cells. Baby bees were hatching out, freeing up space for her to lay.
