it was 55 degrees here yesterday, (sunday) 65 today, supposed to be 70 tomorrow. no snow in the forecast.
sunday mr. rb digs out the roof snow rake, and the long handled snow rake for his truck and throws it in. whatever makes you happy, i give him the look. i said this was bad luck, and what.....you planning a trip way up north somewhere like nova scotia or someplace you didn't tell me about, and as iddee would say 'hain't' coming back???? then i got the look.
i suppose he wanted to get it out before we had to shovel it out?
i am not looking forward to snow, and no i 'hain't' moving south iddee and tec....

I believe Walt said his wife had an "anal retentive spouse"....

Which is a slick piece of humor if I do say so!

We don't need snow rakes in Texas. Just enough firewood to wait 2 days for the sun to come out and melt it all away! (and a good sized ash bucket for the woodstove, and a chicken water warmer so the birds have unfrozen water Bees are on their own..)

Yes, Gypsi's correct, I meant that my wife has an "anal retentive spouse".

But, we also have a snow shovel: an old sturdy plow type brute. I used to use it as a plow if we only got only a few inches of snow. I just couldn't leave it behind when we moved south.

"You planning a trip way up north like Nova Scotia or someplace?"

Feel free to bring your rake, but I don't think it's gonna help you much!
Iddee's bringing a shovel when he comes up!

SHOVEL? ! i have said before, us beeks in northern climates just leave the snowblower parked on the roof.....
btw perry what is that tank you are using to pile snow in.....looks like an uncapping tank to me.....only a northern beek would find multi purpose use of this for snow removal

He's still around but he and his wife were in the process of adopting a little one and I think they may have ended up with two.
If that's the case, he's probably up to his elbows in diapers!
I'll fire off another email to him.

Your husband can bring his snow rake here! Actually, that was a couple of winters ago.

When we first moved here though, my wife (born and raised in Oklahoma) and I were driving through town and we passed the DOT yard (this was August). There, on the side of the yard, sat a 12 foot high, center prow snow plow waiting for attachment to one of their BIG trucks. For those not 'in the know' - they use that plow to clear the initial path on the highway so that the 'normal' plows can actually get to work.

My wife looks at it and innocently remarks, "I wonder what THAT is?". I didn't say a word - I didn't want to depress her!
