I finally figured out how to make those handles on the side of the boxes.
Getting ready for spring.
Those are some great looking boxes you built, just wish I had the space to work some up myself.
Yeah baby, Yeah! :yahoo:
Very nice looking job. Your inner cover looks exactly how I make mine, round hole with an opening on one end. Your boxes are a step up from mine, I only use rabbet joints on the corners, and I don't have the nice curved handles, just straight dado cuts.
I made these on my table saw with a regular blade. Piece of cake.
Takes me maybe 20 seconds to cut the handle. I can cut them before OR after the box is put together.
dang nice lookin' boxes.
Nice job, i just made 12 deeps myself, but with cleat handles. When checking outyards 2 weeks ago, i seen two hive bodies that are standing on imagination?? hope the hold together till spring. Jack
So tell us how you made the handholds Yank!
If you can tell it with pictures, all the better.
Kool.....Make a second jig and sent it to me, what is your payPal #?
I have 30 unassembled mediums in my garage that I need to figure out handholds for. I want to see how you're making the handholds.
I will take some pictures of the jig tomorrow and explain how I make them.
It's still work in progress as I want to make a few small adjustments then clean it up a little, but it worked great as it is.
I started a new thread with pictures so it would be easy for folks to find.
