Just moved down the mountain to Clemson SC last fall. My hives are up the mountain, still in sc, where mid June seems to have been the start of sourwood.
It's been freakin me out driving around town seeing trees in full bloom which for the life of me look like sourwood blooms in mid may. The trees are bigger than most sourwoods I've seen in the woods. Any suggestions on a copycat ornamental tree with sourwood/lily of the valley style blooms which come out in may? Would give me peace of mind that I'm not missing the flow.
    Thanks.

A black locust has a long bloom of white flowers, but they should have already passed.
