Southern Lady

A very gentle Southern lady was driving across the Savannah River Bridge in Georgia one day. As she neared the top of the bridge, she noticed a young man fixing (ready ) to jump.

She stopped her car, rolled down the window and said, "Please don't jump, think of your dear mother and father."

He replied, "Mom and Dad are both dead; I'm going to jump."

She said, "Well, think of your wife and children." He replied, "I'm not married and I don't have any kids."

She said, "Well, think of Robert E. Lee."

He replied, ''Who's Robert E. Lee?''

She replied, ''Well bless your heart, just go ahead and jump, you dumb Yankee."

Ya see, this don't work for yankees. "We" know how to swim....

Hey wait a minute....wasn't there a movie about some southern guy who jumped off the bridge cause he was "scared" (or liked them a whole lot less than the dudes) in regards to the southern ladies? :? Confused was he, about his manhood I remember.

Seems to me, that southern lady should be rethinking what she said to that yankee, being the only "man" she may happen upon in those parts of the woods..... ;)
Check a little deeper. I think that movie was written and produced by a yankee.

Besides, everybody knows movies are everything BUT true, so reverse it and you have the truth. :p
A new york yankee at that, and produced and directed by Max Bear, Jr. (Jethro from the Beverly Hillbillies)

G3
awwww, we are all the same.... just We change our TIRE instead of change a "Tarrrr".
We say Large behind on a woman, instead of "one and a half ax handle wide"

Oh, I learn lots from my best southern bee buds. LOL They put up with me saying "what did you say", "say it again".. LOL And they pick on my for my proper english. FUN.
But we never poc da kaa.

Probly cause it don't run nohow.

Of course it was written by a yankee. To suggest the impossible, that a ******* "wrote" anything, would be just foolin yourself. We all know you can't read or write.... You can barely talk as it is....
So, who IS this "Robert E. Lee," anyway???

:D

ain't a bridge near you by chance, is there ??? jefferson davis for president 2012
Who is Robert E Lee? If I remember correctly, he was a "Loser"......

Which brings us to a favorite question...."Why did the south lose the war?"

Because they decided to come to Pennsylvania!
I think you have a point. All the losers went to Pa. Well, we can at least agree on that. :D
Sadly, I believe most of them ended up on the Erie City Council.
Now there's the difference. When my GGGrandaddy got out of Camp Chase, he picked up his bride in Ga., 100 head of cattle in central Fl. and kept going til he hit what is now called the Miami River. Couldn't them get no further South.
Oh yeah, I have never let "proper english" interfere with my talking :D .
