Steak on the hoof

    Iddee this is steak on the hoof!!

    I have just started feeding then a grain mix to put the fat on them. They will be headed to the butcher around end of Jan., have not called for a kill date yet.

    these are culls, a horned heifer and a steer

    where steak on the hoof is at, a few acres that are left of an old dairy farm. A very good neighbors place. He lets me use it if I keep the fields cleaned up and fence fixed, I also kick in a little meat. I try to help him out anyway I can he is in his 80's, and has been good to me, he gave ma a two frame extractor and hot knife.

    Those are some of the best looking Charolais cattle I've seen since we left the show me state. Now I'm cravin' a big ole fat steak cooked outside! :)
