Killing time in the morning when everybody else is sleeping, I made these sun and rain shades for the beehives. They'll help to keep the snow off of the landing boards too.

Nice looking, you should make a bunch and sell them....either ebay or etsy...you would be surprised how many people dont know what end of a hammer to hold, and the good thing is the size would be standard for most hives...

They are easy to make. I built them so that they fit a 10 frame hive but I also have a few 8 frame hives in the Apiary also so I just cut some spacers to use with the 8 frames.I even made them a hair wider for the 10 frame boxes as well just so I could add a little spacer to keep the thumb screw from digging into the hive body.
