HI all, I have a question. A couple of beekeeps I know do this; I helped check all the new, used hives they just ought. A few of the hives had frames full of honey and others had no honey in their frames; they took some of the full frames and put them in the hives with no honey; then put the empty frames in the hive that the full frames were in. Is this a good idea or is it asking for spread of bugs, etc?

I haven't been on in a long time but I'll answer this maybe.

Did the bought hives come from the same yard, if so no problem.
That's the way you distribute the wealth.

Remember, Drones move from hive to hive, so each hive is not independent !
