Now I know why the swarm that I hived less than a month ago left their previous home. Put these ladies in a hive on the 19th of July and checked on them today. They have already filled an 8 frame deep. Four frames with foundation and four without.

Put the super on as they were already crowded in the deep. If they keep this up, I will definitely be making some splits off of this hive early next year. At this rate, they will overtake some of the hives that I have had for almost a year.

I am impressed with all my swarm hives too. My swarm hives are all producing honey. I had to combine the two packages I bought in April because they were weak. They are producing honey also.

I'm thinking that was The A Team - George Peppard's line. Good for you that they are so productive RE Jones.
