In the last 3 weeks i've had 2 swarm calls and seen 5 of my own swarm, all but one were small grapefruit size. I caught 3 of the 5 of my own.The only thing i can think is the cause is we've had alot of rain this summer. Jack
Bees tend to swarm anytime there is a flow, an increase going into a flow after a dearth, or other odd times where we may think it strange. Studies have shown a fall swarm period in September for places along the east coast with fall flows. Swarming is more closely connected to flows than many give credit.
