Thermal images of hive

    I was curious what my hive looked like in the infrared spectrum, and am fortunate to have access to a thermal camera, so I took these pictures. I thought I'd share in case anybody was interested. Note that you can see the bees flying around in front of the hive in the closer photo. The hot areas visible behind the hive in the second photo are my stone patio.

    Nice pics. The photo gallery itself is locked. Only mods can add categories. If you click on bees, family, or misc., you can post to either of the three. If you want another category, we can add it.

    you need to look up greg swobee hes in hays kansas he has done a lot of thermal imaging google him should be able to find him

    Wow, cool photo. I like how one can tell which colors are the bees. I'd love to see more, especially when they are clustered.

    Thanks for the youtube video - that is really interesting about the heater bees.
