swarm landed on the side of a shed last monday, i couldn't get to it until today. of course, they had made themselves a home in the rafters.after removing the plywood ceiling,i found 8 snow white combs and about 5lbs. or so of bees.started the removal, and found a beautiful red queen....................... with a big green dot on her back!!!! never seen a marked queen while doing a cutout ! this was a first for me. :Dancing:

So that's where my special bred, long distance flying queen wound up. Thanks for finding her. You can bring her back to me anytime.
