Brandon, my grandson, and I did a small cutout today. The bees were going in at the center of the chimney on the house side, through the roof, into the "doghouse" built to shed the water from the chimney.



Brandon really gets into his work.



He had about 3 feet from the wall above to the plywood of the roof.



Inside the "doghouse"





Started at noon and ended at 3:00 PM.

I'd have spent the first 2 hours trying to figure out what I was gonna do! :lol:

Was this a dead out from last year that a swarm moved into? See lots of wax moth cocoons and looks like the comb had a melt down.

Tough one for sure, glad to see you passing along bees to your grandson :thumbsup:, if nothing else time well spent!

There had been numerous hives there in the years past. Comb of all ages. We tried to seal it as best we could. Hopefully, there won't be any more if we were successful.

Another one today. This one had just moved into an industrial building, right next to the front door.
