Someone asked me this the other day, and I did not know:

After a trap-out, what happens with the old comb in the wall? Does it attract insects or mice? Will it decompose and cause odors or damage?

I knew this would be the place to go for answers!

The honey will be removed. The wax is all that will remain. It will not attract pests nor run and/or make a mess. Neither will it do any damage.

wax is all that is left, it will over time get hard and brittle with most all of the bees wax smell leaving.
