I have a question. I finished my first trap-out. I placed the trap on 4th of July and removed it 1 week ago. I have what are i quess foragers returning and entering the old hive, which is behind a brick wall. None went in for about the last 3 weeks when the trap was on and for 1 week after the trap was removed. Now that i have removed the hive some are now going back in. Should i worry about this. thanks Vance

Watch them for a half hour or so. If they are carrying pollen in, you had a new swarm move in. If no pollen, they are either robbing it out, or it is scouts looking for a place to bring a swarm. Put your cone back on. If there is a large group hanging on the outside the next day, it is a new swarm in the structure. If only a few bees flying around the cone, it is robbers cleaning the last of the stores.
