I want to start taking bees from a trap, but need a queen for the starts.
I called Tates but get no answer. Cold weather tolerence would be nice as I'm in upstate NY.

Call Tates and leave a message. They are out working the hives during the day. They will return the call in the evening. It is a man and wife operation with no employees, so no office help to answer the phone.

They do have queens. They even have Wayne's bees queens.

I finally left a message, just waiting now. I'm ready to pull frames out of my Hogan trap, and I need a couple queens for the starts. I'm setting up for 8 frame starts, then as many bees as I can pull in a few days with the cone set.
