Again, refrain from using the easy way (google) just think about the years and what would make sense, you may surprise yourselves. # 1 - J. Mehring of Germany is given credit for inventing this in 1857! What was it? # 2 - In 1865, in France, Abbe Collin perfected this piece of equipment! What was it? # 3 - (I'm gonna go a little easier on ya with this one) In 1891, E.C.Porter in the USA, developed this piece of equipment! What was it? Get one right  Get two right :clapping: Get all three right
C'mon tecumseh, have a go. I'm sure you've met at least a couple of these guys! :rolling::rotfl:
If I'm not mistaken, #3 must refer to the Porter bee escape, (a "one way door")used to remove bees from the super you want to remove from the hive. I haven't the faintest clue about #1 and #2.
I am going to guess Mehring invented the smoker and Collin invented the hive tool. Have not found these guys in the books yet so thought I would guess.
Slowmodem = Thanks (I finally had to ask Charles to do it for me) Marbees - you are sooooooo close, but not quite. Half point! (The credit for foundation rolls is given to the King brothers of New York in 1866, a device later improved enough to suit commercial purposes in 1875 by A.I. Root and A. Washburn.)
Answers # 1 - Foundation # 2 - Queen excluder (I think Iddee and ski had it) # 3 - Porter bee escape New questions tomorrow, not based so much on history.
