Forum member Jacobs came over this morning. He, I, and my bride just finished canning 45 pints of mixed greens.
Gonna be mighty good over the winter.

Folks around here must think were going to have a bad winter (haven't had any winter yet), i put out close to an acre of turnips and they've been taking them out by the five gal. buckets full. I plant them every year to give away to customers and neighbors, most of them are elderly.I have three widow ladies ( two in there upper 80's and one 91 yrs. old) that call and ask if i would bring them some when i come to town. My wife gets a kick out of telling me my girl friends called and wants turnips. Jack

    Iddee,
Now I know where to get some greens when I have a hankering...a pint is just the right size for me, since hubby doesn't eat them. Do you have an extra one?
