in the past I have suggested to all those folks living in Texas that collect swarms and do cut out to forward samples to the state bee lab here at Texas A&M University to determine if a hive may be 'africanized'. in the past this service was always free. I have now been informed by the state bee inspector that the person doing the lab work has now been terminated.

it does appear to me given the current management of this university is now definitely headed on the way to being a second class educational institutions.
