I havent been as active as usual So wanted to catch everyone up new shop business really took off doing real well with it. Keeping busy all hours of the day taken some evening to go out and strip cotton for a local farmer just to relax and unwind. Good news been sober 6 months the 17th of oct. now for the bad. I had a mole on my back turn all different colors and double in size in the last month and a half. didnt even know I had a mole back there until it started burning and itching then on the 17th I was talking on the phone when I noticed a lump on my sternum called dr on monday he had me come straight over the mole was taken off yesterday had 8 stitches to close up the hole it has been sent in. as for the lump I have to go see a cancer surgeon on the 27th for a biopsy and mri. The dr has ruled out a lot of things with xrays hoping to find some minor problem he is not saying much other than at this point he thinks it could be scar tissue from an injury or lymph nodes and he is hoping for scar tissue but I dont recall ever injurying my chest. I will keep you informed on what I find out.

the best to you and yours...

you certainly get a high five for going on the wagon and starting your own business. both of those things takes a lot of resolve and tenacity (the latter quality being a term that almost defines Tecumseh himself).

my thoughts and prayer go out to you.

Well, isn't that a roller-coaster ride! I send my congratulations, my encouragement, and my concern, along with the others.

For what it's worth, a few years back I had an odd lump on my collarbone removed. It was nothing, just an odd blob of excess something, and the dr could not really explain where it came from. I had had no injury. So here's hoping that it is something like that...

Best wishes on the health issue.
12 years ago I had lung cancer, I was lucky, they were able to get it.

The waiting, waiting, and more waiting, on tests and results I believe was the hardest part.

    Again Good Luck.

well didnt find out much at the specialist other than she wants to wait to see if the lump gets larger starts to get soreness or skin changes color before she does any further tests. I got dr appointment friday to get stitches out from mole removal. Going to discuss this with him. He had sent me to the specialist for more tests. so unsure what to think at this point

ain't it kind of odd riverrat to think in terms of your medical doctor as she? still makes me to take a pause.

oddly enough in the hmo we belong to my prior doctor was named James Bond and the current issue (female) is Dr Ngu (NO)? I bribe my current doctor with a bit of honey... her daughter takes a spoonful a day for allergies. It is always good to have a response when anyone ask you if honey helps with allergies to say.... why not ask my doctor?

best of luck to ya' bro...

well got back from dr today he didnt agree with the other drs findings and wass going to meet with her on the issue he did say he though the lump appeared to be smaller i dont think it is. now for the mole It was malignate melinoma i go in to the specialist on the 3rd he said of the skin cancers you can get this is the one you dont want to have. but he was upbeat we may have caught it in time to be successfull in treating it. the tumor was large he was talking like they may go in and cut out more tissue to help make sure they got it will keep you all informed

That's what the doctor did with me in the early 90's: cut out a large amount from my back and then took a little more. No problems since.

An upbeat doctor and an upbeat patient is good. Hang in there.

went to dr today things look a little better done some blood work go in for a complete mri scan tomorrow to make sure the cancer hasnt spread to other organs then they are going in to do surgery to remove a large area from my back where the cancer was found to help insure they got it all so if all test come back good I believe i will live to get stung another day .
