update on the rat

    Rat- How did the MRI go today?

    They did a full mri today with and without ivp dye got half way home when they called and said i need to come back I went back and they did some more scans but wouldnt say what was going on. they did say the lump on my sturnum was showing up they said the dye was to see if it had blood vessels going into it but wouldnt say what they saw so hoping to hear something tomorrow

    dr called this evening most of the test are back and so far nothing has been found the lump on my chest is a boney mass from an injury i dont remember it became noticeable after i lost 30 lbs of weight she didnt for see the other test looking bad so the plan is to go in and take about a 3 inch dia patch of skin and tissue around the original tumor if it comes back good no further treatment needed other than yearly cancer checks I know im sleeping better tonight thanks for all the thoughts and prayers

    My thoughts are with you!

    They may also check your lymph nodes, which is a good indication of whether the cancer is spreading. At least for some kinds of cancer, not sure about skin.

    You bet they checked the lymph nodes melenoma skin cancer is famouse for getting into lymph nodes

    well they took a 5 inch by 3inch app. oval almost an inch deep out of my back this morning was in surgery an hour got out of surgery at 9 am they took iv out at 11 asked if I could get dressed they said no when they came back i was dressed and wearing my shoes talked them into letting me go at noon. now that peruvian marching fluid they give you to put you down is wearing off and I aint has conviencing it dont hurt as i was earlier :D :thumbsup:
