    Hi,
I know we can insert photos in our posts so that you can see them, rather than just post a link to the photo where it lives on another site.

Is there a way to use the YouTube 'embed' code to enable our videos to be watchable right in our post, rather than have to follow a link to YouTube itself to watch it? Many sites do this now.
It should be noted that when placing a youtube video 'embed' code in a forum or blog post, the video itself does not reside on this site, it's merely referenced to, where it lives on youtube, but the video becomes watchable right there in the post. Seems like a natural way to keep discussions both efficient and enjoyable.

    Thanks!

It's beyond me. I don't have sound, so don't watch videos. Charles will have to answer that one.

Well, I've tried simply pasting in the youtube embed code into a post, but it doesn't work.
Charles, do you have it set that way to not accept the embed code?

I can't figure it out either, that is why I just link them.
Would like to be able to embed them also.
More than likely it is just something simple we are missing.

    hello charles,
i keep forgetting to follow up on this question for you, now that we have the cool video option to embed in our posts, is it possible to embed a slideshow either hosted in picassa or photobucket? i know i could make a slideshow and convert it to a video, but would like a slideshow option if this is possible?

    thanks:grin:

I'm pretty sure I've seen a bbcode for the photobucket slideshows, it's clunky and somewhat difficult to use but I can add it in for you. Give me a day or 2 to get it done.

Sorry I didn't answer your question before asking about the google docs presentations, I must have missed it. Unfortunately that would require what's called an iframe to work and that type of html coding is not allowed in posts, too much of a security risk. Sorry

charles, not a problem about the google docs, because of the risk of the html code as you said. don't apologize  i thought maybe there would be a 'clunky' bb code for photobucket or picassa, but didn't know?! if this is not something other members would use, and is too cumbersome or difficult for others to figure out, please don't go to the trouble. Thank you!

Oh boy, now were in for it...ha! Glad to see that is turned on too. I tried using html before to get around it but discovered this is not html format. Like the Hillybilly dance!
