Can I use Xentari on an active hive?
I hate wax moths, I found 15 or so on one of my hives.

I do. It isn't going to hurt the bees or the honey.

what is the best way to apply it? i read that you spray it on, but how do you do that? with a hose? and do you lay all of the frames out on the ground and then spray them? anyone have any suggestions?

mixed in small amounts and use a spray bottle

mixed in large amounts use a garden sprayer
It doesn't take all that much to be effective, just a good misting will do.
After mixing the shelf life is short (if not mistaken 3 days), the powder has a very long shelf life.

Mix 1 teaspoon with water in a quart spray bottle. Spray about 25 frames. Then mix another quart.

Or mix 4 teaspoons per gallon of water and use a larger sprayer.

Make sure to store the unused powder in a place close to room temp. Extreme heat does something (kills?) that makes it ineffective.
