I'm excited but nervous. I hope I don't kill them.
Congratulations! I remember our getting our first hive. It was like bringing home a new baby for us! "Now what!?" we said!
Second year...now have five....They are amazing...and addicting!
I feel your trepidation -- I'm only two weeks into having my bees but I'm having a blast.
Just remember that we have all these experts hanging around the forum just to help out -- all we have to do is ask.
You'll have a wonderful time ...
Right on! What region of Indiana are you from? I am in Central Indiana but was raised in far south west.
I guess south central maybe? We live in Paragon. South or Martinsville. About 15 min from Bloomington
You are not very far at all. That is a beautiful area of Indiana. You have Graham's bees in Morgantown above you and Hunters Honey bee farm right below ya. Good spot to be in if you need something.
We took the bee class at Graham's and that is where we got our hive and are getting our bees from.
Very good...I have talked with Juanita over the phone...she seems like a sweet ole gal...
Don't forget to take pictures, you'll treasure them. (and if anybody happens to get stung, we appreciate those here too).
