Ok, We moved our first 2 hives last Sunday. We checked on them Tuesday and they were working like crazy and had a lot of new white comb. So we went out this afternoon to add the first honey super. They have exploded. Tues they had 3 of the 10 deep frames pulled. This after noon they fad 9 pulled and the queen has brood in 4 of them. I had sat a jar of syrup on top tues just for insurance. Pulled the top covers this afternoon and wow at the ants.Ants covering the top of the inner covers. Here is my question, Will the ants make the bees very aggressive. They were tearing us up. They were 2 very calm hives when here at my house. They were probably the most aggressive bees I have ever delt with. They were bringing in tons of nectar. Frame were filling up. No hive beetles. Hives sitting in sun. Queens laying great. We have ants under control. I hope that was the cause. I was shocked.
