Which state in the USA produces the most honey? I was recently asked that question and I didn't know. Never had a reason to research it either.

    Here's one group's statistices for 2007-2008. See pages 2-3.

You will have to do the sorting and determine whether "production" is in lbs or in $, but at first glance it looks like North Dakota. Whoda thunk it?

I would have figured CA or even FL to be the biggest producer, never would have guessed ND.

    Learn something new every day!!

Thats what those fellows from ND told me. They are worried looseing CRP will push some smaller bee keepers out of busness.

and the above is exactly why bee locations are registered in North Dakota.

if some small bee producers vanishes in North Dakota and the location have any value at all the empty niche will soon be filled with white boxes.
