I've been told that Tulip Poplar is the main honey crop for this area. I've been watching this week and the Poplars are just about done. It seems a little early to me for the nectar season to be over. Is there anything else coming for my girls to munch on?

From many of the reports posted on the forum, it seems that a lot of areas have had their honey plants/trees opening up early this year. But usually there is a series of plants that flower one after another. Best bet to get info about your particular area is to speak to other local beeks or to turn to the botany dep't of a nearby university or agricultural school.
