I was wondering when to feed pollen patties. I have 4 hives that are pretty small but growing. 2 have a deep and part of a medium filled. One of the other 2 has had problems after swarming and finally has a mated queen and capped brood and larva of all stages in it. The last is a nuc I started and was going to combine if the new queen didn't show in prevous hive. I am fand have been feeding all 4 of them 1-1 syrup. I am thinking that putting in a pollen pattie in each one of these 4 hives might help them make it through our fairly mild winters. We still have a flow going on right now. Should I go ahead and put the patties in now or wait til the flow is over? Oh, and where is a good place to get these patties and how many should I buy for each hive.
