White Oak for hives

    I have managed to source a large qty of free White Oak already sawn into boards .

    Anything wrong in using white oak for hives ??

    free you cant beat the price. The only draw back is oak is heavier. And a harder wood.

    Hard dont worry me , have made a few items from it, and weight, still youngish and supers wont be an issue

    convert the white oak to furniture sell this and then take the $ and buy some inexpensive bee furniture. that would be my plan.
