My name for the forum is connected to my business... Bjorn Apiaries. My wife is from Denmark, where we were married. "Bjorn" is part of her family name, and since Bjorn means Bear....well, honey, bears, bees, it just seemed to go together. But don't let her family know that. They think I did for them... ;)

I was red headed.(now grey) While in the MC was known as Red Crane. When I started on the computer I combined the two into Redcrane.

When my son signed me up on the internet about 15 years ago, he said to choose an ID other than my own name. ID was already in use, as was Idee. I finally got on as Iddee. It is just a long way of saying ID, or identification. I have used it everywhere since that time.

Mine isn't very bright, just my initials reversed.

On another forum I use a different name, but if your old enough to remember a rocker named Gene Vincent you might guess !

Mine? Because I sail Hobie Cat sailboats (although not as much as I used to), and when I signed up for the first bee forum I found, it was all I could think of on short notice!

If anyone is still reading this thread, I chose my name because I love blues rock music. My favorite is the late Stevie Ray Vaughan who used his initials on his favorite guitar and a guitar strap. One of his frequently performed songs was Texas Flood. It was also the title of one of his albums. Thus the handle SRVFANTEXASFLOOD.

In another forum years ago (a computer building forum), I chose that because it is a contraction of my full name.

I find that the more I learn about people, the more I realize I do not have a clue. Chances are that no matter what I find in the end, especially with the bees I scratch my head a lot and keep trying to learn.

I was pretty much a grown man before I knew anything at all about one of this countries greatest native americans besides some obscure connection to the manufacture of small engines. this lack of knowledge was especially troubling given that he and I were reared along the same river (differnt bank) and I have spent more than a small amount of time reading historical text. being part prophet (he predicted the earthquake of 1812) and part warrior with more than a small dab of peace maker tossed into the mix he was a quite remarkable individual.

the shawnee word tecumseh literally translated means 'panther passing in the night' which refers symbolically to a low arching meteor which according to the tale passed overhead at the time of his birth.

The definition of bewildered: to confuse or puzzle completely

The definition of beewildered: to bee confused when the bees don't do what you want them to do, or completely puzzled by the fact you've been keeping bees for a couple years and still don't know the first thing about beekeeping.
