•Duck
•1 onion, sliced
•1/2 cup butter or drippings
•Salt and pepper
•1 cup fresh mushrooms - sliced
•2 cups water
•1 bay leaf
•2 tablespoons flour
•1/8 teaspoon powdered thyme
Prepare and disjoint duck, brown with onion and baste with fat. Add salt, pepper, water, and bay leaf. Cook 1 1/2 hours over low heat. Saute mushrooms, add flour and thyme. Add to duck and continue to cook 30 more minutes. Serve with wild rice.

Cameron,MO hecks fire you can always come visit me and I`ll take you on a great duck hunt sure to last a life time of great memories. I am located across the border of Missouri ,google Spring River,,, and your at my door step.

I ended up having to proces one of the wives tame ducks after our daughters dog mangled its leg up. Its in the freezer now. I'll have to try your recipe. if I get the chance I'll hook up w/ you for a hunt. Thanks ,
